Hands up if you’ve ever fallen into a scroll hole—cat videos, news updates, or just one more reel. We’ve all been there. But that hours-long forward head posture? Not so cute for your neck and upper back.

This common habit is causing what’s now called “tech neck”—a result of your heavy head constantly leaning forward to look at screens. Over time, this can lead to neck strain, tension headaches, and even impact your posture.

Yes, cutting down screen time is the best fix. But when that’s not realistic, there’s a quick and easy stretch you can do to strengthen and release your neck muscles.

👉 Try This Neck Strengthening Stretch

You can do it sitting at your desk, on the sofa, or even while waiting for the kettle to boil.

Here’s how:

  1. Place your hand on the right side of your head and gently push your head into your hand (without letting your head move). Hold for 15 seconds.
  2. Repeat this by placing your hand on the left, front, and back of your head—holding each position for 15 seconds.
  3. Repeat the full circuit 2–3 times a day for best results.

This mini stretch series activates and strengthens the small but mighty muscles that support your neck, helping combat poor posture and relieve tension.
